| Mute:8 Recordings was originally set up in 2003 by four DJ's / producers with a like minded philosophy of producing and playing Drum & Bass that breaks the mould
and put on events that produce the vibe and atmosphere that brings people back for more. In the summer of 2003 the original launch night was put on in Northampton, followed by more
events in Leicester, Rugby, Nottingham, Sheffield and more.
In mid 2005, KLR, AlleyKat & Coldshoulder started a radio show on KunninMindz, which ran on a Friday night
between 7 - 10pm. This show regularly included guest DJ's, including Dyazide, Smyla & Cypha.
In the summer of 2007 the radio show on KunninMindz ended and Mute:8 was effectively put on hold, as the members of the group decided
to pursue different directions.
Relaunched in 2009 by two of the original members, DJ KLR & AlleyKat, Mute:8 Recordings has been set up to provide digital downloads, and the new site will feature music and mixes
by some of the best artists we have met over the years. This site promises to continue the original Mute:8 philosophy and be bigger, better and heavier than before.
A new radio show is now playing every Friday, from 6 - 8pm, exclusively on www.dnbnoize.com,
where you are guaranteed to hear the heavier sounds of DnB, delivered in the unique style of the Mute:8 DJs & MCs.
